Sermon
Scripture: Matthew 6
-It is important to understand what you come to church for.
-Do you judge people based off of what people say Christianity is or what God says Christianity is?
-Sometimes God wants us to change, not our situation.
-Be careful of what you pray for. Some people want God to fulfill all of their wishes but their dreams don’t even include God.
-A lot of people treat God like a gumball machine.
-If you don’t have a forgiving heart then you aren’t going to heaven.
Scripture: Ephesians 4
-You can solve a lot of issues by simply being honest.
-When you are angry don’t take the next step and start sinning (Ephesians 4:26).
-Don’t let anger keep you from being what you are supposed to be for God.
-It doesn’t matter how angry you are, it doesn’t give you the privilege to sin.
-You may not yet understand everything in the bible, but forgiveness is an easy concept to get. Are you willing to forgive those who have done you wrong?
Scripture: Psalms 23
-Who is the Lord to you? Is the Lord really your shepherd?
-A lot of people know Psalms 23 but is the Lord really their shepherd?
-What role is God occupying in your life? How can God be YOUR God if he has no role in your life?
-Are you one of God’s sheep or are you a wild animal?
-People of God should not be worried, anxious, stressed, tripped out people.
-True believers respond to God’s correction.
-Some people can’t call God their shepherd because they don’t listen to him.
-Ask yourself, “Am I being led by God?”
-Christianity is not about being out of control it’s about being in control.
-Are you comforted by the fact that you serve the King of Kings, Lord of Lords, and good shepherd?
Scripture: John 10
-Make sure there is nothing in your life that is keeping you from accessing that abundant life.
