Sermon
Scripture: Romans 10
Scripture: Proverbs 27
-Being a good father is an anomaly in today’s world.
-It is also important to see how God views fatherhood, because his definition is different from the worlds standard.
-God has designated the father as the head of the family. Period.
-There is a specific curse for those who don’t honor their mother and father.
-You are a walking representation of your parents to some capacity, so don’t be a burden on your parents with the way you act.
Scripture: Leviticus 19
-There is no age you can get to that validates you disrespecting your father. It doesn’t matter how old you are, honor your parents.
-To not show fear and respect for your parents is to disrespect God.
Scripture: Exodus 20
-Fathers day is not a day for children.
-If you realize that you have not been the child that God has called you to be, then repent.
Scripture: Deuteronomy 27
-You didn’t get put to death for every sin in the bible, but disrespecting your parents was one of them.
-No matter what generation or background you grew up in, disrespecting your parents is a serious offense.
Scripture: Ephesians 5
-Kids aren’t the only ones responsible for honoring fathers, mothers are too.
-We live in some evil days and we need to start doing more for God.
-There is no co-head, the FATHER is the head of the wife and children.
-Don’t go to hell for being un-submissive.
-You can’t pick and choose which scriptures you want to follow and which ones you don’t.
