Sermon

Scripture: Ephesians 6

-when you aren’t feeling well who do you turn to? When you are sick go to the Lord in prayer, he is the ultimate healer.

-Make sure you treat church as church.

-Nobody can make promises like God can.

-Honoring you parents is the first commandment, with promise!

Scripture: Luke 11

-The devil wants you to be discouraged when you are trying to live for God.

-Share what you learn in church and bible study with other people outside of church.

-Learn how to pray, there is a way that you should talk and approach God.

-When you come to God understand that he has your best interest in mind. God has interest in you.

-God sits high, but he certainly looks low.

-Too many people are to casual about God, for instance saying the Lord’s name in vain (“Oh my God…”).

-Are you really wanting the will of God to be done in your life or are you just repeating the words?

-When you talk to God realize whatever he says supersedes anything that anyone else tells you.

-A lot of people will obey the worlds laws but won’t obey God’s laws.

-Don’t get confused the “American way” is not God’s way. Not too long ago the “American way” included slavery.

-Don’t trust in the world’s system, trust in God.

-When you pray don’t ask for foolishness…

-It is very important to be thankful for what you have, no matter how much or little you think you have.

-Be careful of thinking that you need more to be happy, the only thing you need is God.

-Also when you pray make sure to ask forgiveness for the sins that you have committed.

Scripture: Psalms 139

-You can’t only get certain areas of your life right with God, you have to get your whole life right with God.

Scripture: Matthew 6

-God is a king, whether you ever acknowledge it or not.

Scripture: Hebrews 11

-Faith is the foundation you must have to trust and approach God.

-There is obvious evidence that God exists.

-You cannot please God with out faith.

-Faith allows you to say that “If I do what I’m supposed to in Christ, that he will take care of me.”

-If you are obedient to God things will work out.

Scripture: Romans 8

-There is a reward for those who live for God, in this life and the next life.

Scripture: 2 Timothy 2 & 3

-The world is changing and it is not getting closer to Christ, its drawing further.
