Sermon
SCRIPTURE: Hebrews 5
-God is to amazing to try to count.
-The bible is a tool to measure and evaluate things that are happening in the world.
-You go to God’s word to get confidence and understand things not to get confused.
-You have to have a standard besides America.
SCRIPTURE: 1 Corinthians 10
-God is faithful. Are you faithful?
-Why do you say what you say? What does God’s word say?
-God does not want Christians to be divided over stuff. He wants unity, agreeing to disagree is not a christian concept.
-A lot of people know the difference between right and wrong. They are just not willing to stand on it.
-Go to God’s word to see what the standard is, don’t rely on your emotions or opinions.
-Unfortunately a lot of people treat church like a concert.
-You are here to make an application of what God say to your direct life.
-God’s word outlines people.
SCRIPTURE: Psalms 119
-When you make decisions in life, they should be biblical.
-A lot of people are okay with messing up what they consider to be “little stuff” in their life. You keeping little things don’t matter but they can make a BIG difference.
-Have you made a deep commitment to God? If so have you kept it?
-Too many people are making empty commitments.
SCRIPTURE: Proverbs 28
-Guilty people have guilty behavior.
-If a person isn’t willing to obey God they are capable of some crazy things. Don’t put your trust to deeply in people who don’t obey the Lord.
-If you’re not doing right with God you are subject to do anything.
-Someone who truly has a good heart will obey God. Having a good heart and not obeying God don’t mix.
SCRIPTURE: Hebrews 10
-If you are thinking evil it’s only a matter of time before you start doing evil.
-We live in a very bipolar society.
-You can’t be in and out of God. Be consistent. A car that doesn’t start ain’t fixed.
-Wicked people have a tendency to want to get away from people that know them.
-Removing yourself from people who are not right is one thing but removing yourself from people because YOU aren’t right is another.
-Don’t be confused. A relationship with God is not something you can keep running in an out of. Make a commitment and be what you are called to be. Stop making excuses.
-God wants believers to be confident.
-When you run from confession do not believe or try to convince yourself that you are following the scripture.
SCRIPTURE: John 8
-The truth is, those who do not believe in God will not go to heaven. Period.
-Repent & commit. If you can’t get it right with people don’t pretend you can get it right with God.
SCRIPTURE: 1 John 4
-Can you confidently say “I know God loves me”.
-If you die right now, would you feel okay with where you are at? Do you know where you are going?
-If you claim to believe in God then why are you worried?
