Sermon
SCRIPTURE: Proverbs 28
-God wants us to be bold, not cowardice.
-It takes boldness to be truthful.
SCRIPTURE: Daniel 3
-Too many people are concerned about trying to figure out how to avoid confrontation as apposed to standing up to God.
-Are there times when you know you didn’t make a stance for Christ? Have you repented for that?
-You can’t keep the devil happy being righteous.
-Don’t just assume you’re bold when they’re are no consequences. Are you also willing to make a stand for Christ when the world will retaliate because of it?
-If you are asking yourself:
- How can I say this without them hating me?
- How can I put this to where there is no confrontation?
(Then you are on the verge of compromising and you certainly aren’t being bold.)
-Sadly, it’s amazing how many people will hate you for telling them the truth and trying to help them.
SCRIPTURE: Luke 6
-You are blessed when others hate you because of your stance for Christ. BLESSED, don’t forget that.
-Your friends may very well change if you start to make a string stance in Christ.
-Boldness is willingness to declare truth.
-It’s bad if the world loves you because you are one of them…
-If the world excludes you from their evil practices, then good!
SCRIPTURE: 2 Timothy 3
-As Christians you will have to go through some things. Stop running from opportunities to make a stand for God.
SCRIPTURE: Proverbs 27
-God does not want you walking around like cowards!
-True worshipers of God value coming together.
SCRIPTURE: Psalms 26, 42, & 63
-Come to church to bring your best worship!
-Care for and value your work for the Lord.
