COMMUNION
Scripture: 1 Corinthians 11
-Communion is a chance for your life to preach jut by your actions.
-Communion can put a blessing on your life or a cursing.
-You can become cursed for messing around with spiritual things. Don’t play with communion.
-When it comes to communion you have to examine yourself.
-You take communion because God is worthy, not because you are worthy.
-God is not into depression, that is an ungodly type of sorrow.
-Do everything that God says, don’t do less.
-Often times people who are worried about being judges are often guilty of something.
-The most important person that needs to judge you IS YOU.
-Those around you could be saying great job while God is saying that you didn’t give your best effort.
-Don’t reject the very thing that is going to save you.
Scripture: 1 John 4
SERMON
Scripture: Romans 12
-The person with the desire to befriend the world is an enemy of God.
What was your transformation like? Why are you different now, how are you different now? After giving your life over to the Lord how can other people say that you changed? For example it may require that you change the music that you listen to, the friends that you hang around, or the books that you read. One thing that you should definitely start doing (if you haven’t already) is reading God’s word more. To know more about what God wants from your life read his word. Also in your transformation look for others to encourage, that may even mean using your own testimony to talk to others. As a Christian the things that you care about and prioritize should be completely different than before you were saved. Don’t be afraid to share your life with other people, God can use your experiences to open the eyes of others.
Scripture: James 4
If you “got saved” yet your goals in life have not changed then you should go back and evaluate whether or not you’ve changed. Let’s go even deeper, how has your transformation added in changing those around you? Is your spirit of excellence for Christ contagious to those around you? Can you truly say that the most important objective in your life is being in the will of God? If everything that you like and love has nothing to do with God then something is truly wrong. People of God love and like the things of God. There are too many people not concerned about the things of God, don’t let one of those people be you. It’s sad that people are so caught up on seeing what all they can get away with while still being a christian instead of trying to do there very best. Make an external difference with your life. When your life is over what will people say about you? Your choices have consequences and your decision determine your future. Stop looking to be neutral, go forward in Christ!
Do you know what God wants from you? Honestly? If God is irrelevant to you then thats evil. Do not take God for granted. If God is your copilot then you need to change seats.
-Some things that you want and are seeking are not good for you.
-Optimize your life in Christ.
Scripture: Luke 12
