Sermon
SCRIPTURE: Romans 10
-How much time during the year do you truly dedicate to worshiping God?
-Trials and Tribulations should make you a better person, not a worse person.
-If you are going to church and staying the same then you are not getting the lessons you are supposed to, church is supposed to provide you with insight and knowledge on how to be a better person.
-Sometimes telling people “No” is showing them love.
-Showing love to people sometimes means separating yourself from those who are actively sinning.
SCRIPTURE: Matthew 11
-God doesn’t want you to be nervous or worried, he wants you to trust him.
-Yoke: a wooden crosspiece that is fastened over the necks of two animals and attached to the plow or cart that they are to pull.
-It is not incredibly difficult to figure out what you should be doing with your life if you give it to Christ.
-Sometimes the situation isn’t what needs to be changed, it’s YOU.
-Christianity is not confusing. Ask yourself “what are some things I can do to please and glorify God?”
Few examples:
- Encourage others in Christ.
- Prayer for others and yourself.
- Show love to others, call and check up on people.
- Spend time reading your bible.
- Spend time taking others to do things that they enjoy (not just things that you like to do).
- Listen to godly music.
- Visit people in the nursing home.
-Too much time to yourself is not always good for you.
-A lot of people will ask you “what do you want to do with your life” but more importantly you should be concerned with what should you do with your life in God?
-You don’t have to be a bible scholar to know what God wants you to do with your life.
SCRIPTURE: 2 Timothy 1
-The world is changing so much, be careful of people saying they have “evolved” or their “thinking has evolved”. Evil is evil.
-God has not given us the spirit of fear.
-Christians are not weird people.
