Sermon

SCRIPTURE: Romans 10

-You can’t pick and choose which scriptures you want to follow.

-God can use other people in your life to help lead you to him.

-God didn’t give us his word to confuse us, he gave us his word to direct us.

-People believe that convincing themselves that God’s word is complex excuses them from it.

SCRIPTURE: Matthew 11

-Let God guide you. Have a heart that wants to learn and is humble.

-Nothing anyone says to you should take away how important he is.

-Coming to God is not stressful if you have fully submitted yourself.

-God will give you rest. He wants to reduce the stress in your life, not add to it.

God is really not asking that much of you, neither is what he asking unreasonable.

-When God tells you not to do certain things it’s to keep you safe, not to limit you.

A few more examples of things you should do as a christian:

  • Learn how to forgive.
  • Don’t keep grudges.

SCRIPTURE: 1 John 5

-The people of God should have love and show love for each other.

-When you are living right, you effect other people in a positive way.

-Your life, whether you like it or not, is connected to other people.

-Ask yourself “what is so hard about serving God?” And if you come up with any reasons its because there is something wrong with YOUR heart.

-It’s simple. God wants your heart.

-Sin will try and convince you that there is always something better, and that living for God is hard and limiting. Sin is deceiving and will leave you empty in the end.

SCRIPTURE: Luke 10

-Don’t let the fact that others aren’t doing right discourage you.

-Contrary to evil belief, God does want you to have joy.

-God loves you, he died on the cross for you, and he wants to have a relationship with you.

-Don’t blame God for you being unhappy.

-We all need the same Jesus.

COMMUNION

SCRIPTURE: 1 Corinthians 11

-God does not want you to come to church and play games. Especially not with communion.

-The best person to judge whether or not you are being sincere withe the Lord is yourself.
