Will You Be Missed?

Scriptures: Matthew 5, 1 Peter 3, Colossians 3

Reflection:

Have you ever asked yourself, “Will I be missed? And what will they miss about me?” Our time on earth leaves a footprint, whether we recognize it or not. God calls us to be intentional, to make a difference, and to leave a mark that honors Him (Matthew 5: Ye are the salt of the earth).

Life is short, and our choices carry eternal consequences. Taking your own life is not a solution—it is a decision that separates you from God. Death itself is not the greatest tragedy in God’s eyes; the true tragedy is rejecting Him.

Determined people make decisions with purpose (1 Peter 3). Every day is an opportunity to evaluate where your life is in God. Do you have a spiritual career plan? Are your choices building toward eternal fruit, or are they leaving you unproductive? God does not call us to be “creative” without producing anything; He wants us to bear fruit in every season of our lives.

It’s natural to feel sadness at the end of a chapter, but gratitude should also be present. We can honor the past while taking actionable steps in the present. Focus on what’s important, align your efforts with God’s calling, and use your platform—however big or small—to be a blessing to others (Colossians 3).

Challenge:

  • Examine your life: Are you leaving a positive, God-centered footprint?

  • Evaluate your spiritual career plan: Are you growing, producing, and moving in God’s direction?

  • Make decisions that honor God today, not just for recognition, but to impact eternity.
