Make Sure You Are Truly Saved

Scriptures: Genesis 3, Philippians 2, Titus 3, 2 Corinthians 13, 1 Corinthians 11

The Danger of Self-Deception

Genesis 3 shows us where it all began—deception. Not just deception from the outside, but deception within.

So here’s the question:
How do you handle self deception?

It’s easy to see when others are wrong.
It’s much harder to recognize when you are.

That’s why this warning matters:
Make SURE you are saved!

Not assumed.
Not based on feelings.
Not based on history.
But based on truth, obedience, and transformation.

Are You Making It Count?

Philippians 2 calls us to live with purpose and humility before God.

So ask yourself:
How can you make what you do count in God?

Not just activity.
Not just routine.
But impact.

Titus 3 reminds us that salvation should produce a changed life.
And 2 Corinthians 13 tells us to examine ourselves—to test whether we are truly in the faith.

The Subtle Lie of the Enemy

Here’s how the enemy often works—not loudly, but subtly:

The devil will subtly make you think that the things of God are not that important.

Not by telling you to abandon God completely…
…but by convincing you to delay, minimize, and deprioritize Him.

Career. Comfort. Convenience.
All of these can quietly take the place of devotion if you’re not careful.

That’s why the call is clear:
Reflect, engage, and be ever ready in God.

Remember Where You Came From

Communion brings everything back into focus.

1 Corinthians 11 reminds us to examine ourselves—not casually, but seriously.

Because the truth is this:
At one point you were lost and Hell bound… BUT GOD.

God stepped in.
God showed mercy.
God made a way.

And here’s the reality we can never forget:
God’s mercy is as endless as the sea.

Final Reflection

Salvation is not something to assume—it’s something to examine.

  • Are you deceiving yourself?
  • Are you making your life count in God?
  • Are you treating the things of God as essential—or optional?
  • Are you remembering the mercy that saved you?

Because eternity is too serious to guess about.

Challenge

  • Examine your life honestly—don’t avoid the truth.
  • Stop minimizing the importance of God in your daily life.
  • Make intentional decisions that count in God.
  • Stay engaged and ready spiritually.
  • Never forget where God brought you from.
