Sermon
Scripture: 1 Timothy 6
-You brought nothing into this world, and you will take nothing out.
-A lot of the things people are unhappy about are not even needs, there wants.
-A lot of people aren’t living for the God because they are distracted by the things that they want.
-If you have food and raiment, be content.
-You should not go to some churches, here are some examples of churches you should avoid:
- churches that preach that Gain is Godliness
- churches that have a Name it Claim it gospel
-Just because someone has a lot of money does not mean they are blessed, they could actually be cursed.
-People aren’t blessed solely because of there possessions.
-What do you want so much?
-Everybody has a reason to be content, regardless of whether or not they have accomplished their personal goals.
-Some of the things people ask the Lord for are insulting.
Scripture: Matthew 6
-No man can serve two masters.
-Your life is not measured on worldly accomplishments and materials so don’t focus on that. Focus on God.
-God does care about how you spend your time.
-You may not have everything that you want but then again you probably shouldn’t have everything that you want.
-Put your trust in God, he will provide you with everything that you need.
Scripture: Psalms 23
-How often have you thanked God for the things that he has done for you?
-Some people would call your problems a blessing.
-If you have a lot of “wants” distracting you from Christ then you need to ask for forgiveness?
-Get your energy and strength together to give God praise.
Scripture: Psalms 84
_when you come to church have a great attitude!
-Be thankful for the life that God has given you.
