Heed the Warning: God Is Still Speaking
Scriptures: Micah 5, Matthew 2, Exodus 30, Mark 15, John 19
Reflection:
There is a Heaven, and there is a Hell.
That truth alone should shape how we live, think, and respond to God every single day.
Micah 5 reminds us that if it wasn’t for God taking care of us, there’s no telling where we might be. Every breath we take and every step we make is by His grace. But have you ever paused long enough to truly think about that? How often do you stop, pause, and think about what God has done for you?
In Matthew 2, we see people not only worshipping God but also encouraging others to worship Him. That’s the posture of a believer who understands grace — worship that multiplies. Worship isn’t about you; it’s about inspiring others to look upward too.
Heed God’s Warnings
God speaks in more ways than we often recognize. He can even speak to you in a dream.
Sometimes, you can get out of a bad situation simply by listening to what God is saying.
But that requires humility — a willingness to hear what you don’t want to hear.
A warning is not always a bad thing.
Sometimes, it’s a yellow light — not meant to stop you, but to slow you down before you hurt yourself.
Warnings are grace disguised as interruption.
When God gives you a warning, it’s not to punish you — it’s to protect you.
Read the Word for Yourself
In Exodus 30, Mark 15, and John 19, we see moments where obedience and sacrifice align with God’s ultimate plan. Each passage reminds us that God has a purpose even when we can’t see it all.
That’s why it’s vital that you don’t rely solely on secondhand faith.
Read the Word for yourself.
Don’t just listen — study. Don’t just memorize — internalize.
Ask yourself: What am I reading these days?
If your mind is being filled with the world more than the Word, you’re feeding your fear, not your faith.
Become more intelligent in God.
Know your history, your faith, and your foundation. When you know what God has done, you won’t doubt what He can do.
Challenge:
Pause daily to reflect on what God has done for you.
Worship God, and encourage others to do the same.
Pay attention to divine warnings — they may be your rescue.
Read Scripture for yourself and grow in wisdom.
Seek to be spiritually intelligent, grounded in history and faith.
