SCRIPTURE: Colossians 3
-There are certain people who will do what they want to do regardless of what God’s word says,
-It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to understand that listening to explicit content is not appropriate.
-If you want to be right then look for what’s right.
-Some music is not helpful to you.
-A lot of music that is “popular” is about fornication or committing adultery with someone else’s spouse.
-Some music promotes things that the bible specifically says to stay away from.
“Heart that Forgives”: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iUV5T9JIJZ0
-We have a responsibility to forgive.
SCRIPTURE: 1 Thessalonians 5
-Get revenge out of your mind. (1 Thessalonians 5:15)
-Some things you should not trip over, be thankful for the opportunities that you are given instead of feeling depressed about the ones you didn’t get.
-Can you comfortably speak about your relationship with God to others or are you ashamed and embarrassed?
-You don’t want to be known as a moody person, as a christian you need to have your emotions in check.
-If you respond based off of your mood then you are liable to make some bad decisions.
-Be right when it is time to be right, not only when it is easy or convenient to make the right decision.
-When God gives us a task to complete he is not asking for us to give him our opinions or whether or not we feel like doing it.
