Living Intentionally for God

Scriptures: Psalms 11, Psalms 5, 1 Corinthians, Matthew 6, Proverbs 2

Reflection:

Life is full of opportunities to choose the path of obedience or to repeat the mistakes of the past. Psalms 11 reminds us not to follow failure or walk down a path of tragedy. Every decision has consequences—not just for you, but often for those around you. Are other people paying the price for careless or rebellious choices? God’s guidance is designed to save, protect, and establish the plans He has for your life, and ignoring it can lead to unnecessary harm.

Practical obedience matters. Psalms 5 highlights the importance of heeding simple instructions—like wearing a seatbelt—and recognizing that accountability can sometimes come from seemingly minor guidance. Social media is another arena where choices matter. It can easily become a source of distraction, conflict, or disaster if we are not intentional with how we interact online.

Have you accepted God’s call fully? Are you living as a committed Christian, or are you just calling yourself a believer? 1 Corinthians reminds us to reflect on our spiritual goals and evaluate whether our actions align with our faith. Christianity is not an accident—it is a commitment. Matthew 6 calls us to make intentional decisions and plans to do God’s will. Don’t just assume you know the right path—seek spiritual advice, prayer, and guidance.

Proverbs 2 reminds us to acknowledge God in all our ways. Adding more of God into your life strengthens your ability to make righteous decisions, build faith, and draw closer to Him. God does not mess up your plans—He establishes them when your heart is aligned with His will.

Challenge:

  • Reflect on your recent decisions: Are they following God’s guidance or repeating past failures?

  • Be intentional in your spiritual goals, planning, and daily walk with Christ.

  • Seek advice, mentorship, and prayer for your decisions, instead of assuming you know the right way.

  • Acknowledge God in all areas of life to draw closer to Him and align your plans with His will.

Takeaway:

Christianity requires commitment, intentionality, and obedience. Every choice—big or small—reflects your faith and impacts the lives of others. Align your decisions with God’s Word, seek His guidance, and live in a way that glorifies Him every day.
