SCRIPTURE: 2 Samuel 14

-Check out some of the references the bible has for the phrase “put on“.

-There are several occasions where people get dressed. People usually dress to the occasion.

-For instance people will get dressed for:

  • Weddings
  • Funerals
  • Work
  • Dates
  • Sporting Events (Players & Fans)

SCRIPTURE: Colossians 3

-Being courageous is a choice.

-How are you dressing spiritually?

-Seek those things which are above

-Just as Christ has forgiven you you should also forgive others.

-Equip yourself for life’s battles. Although battles don’t always mean that you will be in a physical altercation but more so a spiritual battle.

-Make sure the peace of God is ruling in your heart.

-Let God clean you up so that you can experience real joy and peace!

SCRIPTURE: Galatians 3

-What does it mean to “put on” Christ to you?

-Even when you are not being treated the way you want it is still your charge to treat others right.

SCRIPTURE: 1 Thessalonians 5

-The type of clothes you wear can also demonstrate whether or not you are putting on Christ in your life. For instance wearing inappropriate clothing can be a indicator that you are not putting on Christ.

-Make sure you are not doing anything that would distract people from God. Be mindful of the things that you represent.
