Sermon

SCRIPTURE: James 4

-Think about your life. Who do you see your self as and what do you see your self accomplishing? Just remember before you make huge plans without any thought about God, that your life is like a vapor.

-Seek God for what he wants us to do.

A lot of people have a lot of plans and goals but people aren’t including God in any of them.

-God gives us warning signs, are you paying attention?

-Don’t take death casually, you never know when it will be you.

-You don’t want to die without having gave your life to the Lord.

-Continually follow God and his word.

SCRIPTURE: Corinthians 10

-Don’t make the mistake of thinking you are stronger than you are.

-A lot of people are involved in church but really aren’t in God.

-All of us are subject to falling away from the things of the Lord so we must take heed to God’s word and the warning signs he provides.

-You can fall into a cycle of sin just by being lax about what you heard at bible study. Take his words serious!

-God can help you through whatever situation you are going through.

-Even in times of temptation God provides you with warning signs and ways to get out of the situation. Don’t ignore God’s voice.

-Where are you today? Is your life in order? Even if you think you have it all together God’s word still says “take heed”.

-You never have a right to murmur and complain. Never.

SCRIPTURE: Hebrews 3

Is you heart open to the things of God?

-Have you hardened your heart to any advice that someone gave you that came from the bible?

-Do you really appreciate God for all of the things he has done for you or are you still unsatisfied for things you haven’t received yet?

-There is no reason for people who are breathing, walking, and talking to be complaining. It’s an insult.

-To be without God is a bad place to be.

-There is no “just chilling” in Christ. There is always work to be done.

-Your perspective may change, but God’s word doesn’t so be careful of getting caught up on doing your own way of things.

-Sin can make you think you’re right when you’re actually wrong. Sin will deceive you.

-If you listen to junk then you will think junk.

-Be careful of what you watch and listen to. What you take in can affect you. 1 rated-R movie can mess you up.

SCRIPTURE: Psalms 119

-A lot of people are prone to listen to the doctors suggestions, but what about what the Lord says? God is the ultimate healer.

-Would you follow your doctor quicker than you would follow God?

-Take some time to think about who you are and how you do stuff, then get to work.

-Some people start strong but they don’t finish strong. What will your story be?

-If you have not committed to God yet…the what are you waiting on?
