Communion
Scripture: 1 Corinthians 11
-It is important to God that you take communion seriously.
-Understand that a life was sacrificed so that you could have freedom.
-You’re not as in control of your life as you think. Vitamins will not save you.
-Don’t take it for granted that God is in control of your health.
-Be serious about communion.
Don’t wait until you see somebody dying for you to do something for them.
-There is no cure for death but there is a cure that will provide you with eternal life.
-Stop worrying about people judging you so much and judge yourself!
Scripture: 2 Corinthians 13
-What did communion do for your spirit and soul? How has it impacted you?
-When you come to communion assess yourself. Look at your own life and the effort that you employ.
Sermon
Scripture: Romans 12
-Is what you offer to God polluted?
-You may not deem what you offer to God as evil but what does God say?
-If God is who you love the most then what you do for him should be better than what you do for everybody else.
-Trying to appear as if your not giving that much effort for God is evil. Do the most for God.
-Magnifying and praising God are external displays of honoring and reverencing God.
-Are you apart of God’s PR & Marketing department?
-God is more real than Trump and Obama.
-The Lord is more than worth the effort…are you giving it?
-Some people will do everything they can to have perfect attendance at work but when it comes to church they are okay with missing frequently.
-What mentality do you have when doing work for the Lord?
-God came up with church, loving, and caring for others…not people.
Scripture: Psalms 107
-God isn’t asking much of you, take pleasure in doing the things he requests of you.
