Sermon
Scripture: Romans 12
-It’s not just about attendance, it’s also about participation.
-Instead of complaining what you didn’t get from church, what did you give? How are you contributing?
-Do you just come to church to be entertained…or to worship God?
-What are you actually doing in your life for God.
-When God is first in your life, holiness is first.
-Respect God’s place. Don’t devalue God’s space.
-Is God pleased with the sacrifice you bring and the mindset that you have?
-If God is not pleased with the way you feel then you need to repent.
-Just because you do something for the Lord doesn’t mean you will get credit for it, especially if you don’t do it with the right attitude.
Scripture: Luke 4
-If you can’t take care of the small tasks why do you expect to be responsible for bigger things?
Scripture: 1 Peter 2
-Christians shouldn’t go around telling people I don’t like you but I have to love you. What’s the purpose of expressing that?
-Are you the type of person who can’t be happy when other people are happy?
-Check your thoughts…
-It doesn’t matter how great people say you are if you’re not right with God.
God calls us to be hospitable.
Scripture: Acts 8
-When your heart’s not right it manifest itself in many ways.
Scripture: Proverbs 14
-The greatest thing you can do sometimes is avoid bad situations.
-Guard your heart. Keep the things that don’t need to be in there out!
-Don’t even entertain your evil thoughts!
-It’s your responsibility to remove yourself from people who have a filthy mouth.
-Just because you’re not in jail doesn’t mean you are not a thief.
Scripture: Philippians 2
-Don’t look at people just for the things they have or are doing for themselves, examine what the are doing for others.
-You have to ask God to forgive you for the thoughts in your heart that are not right.
