Scriptures:
Proverbs 20:22, Proverbs 23:22, Proverbs 28:24, Proverbs 30:11, Romans 12:1, Galatians 5:16
Notes:
We begin this week’s sermon with a review from last week, and our discussion on Mother’s Day – and respecting one’s parents.
Picking back up in Romans 12:2, we are beginning to make our transition into what it means to be transformed.
If you have given your life to God, what is He getting? What sacrifice acceptable unto God…
Everyone knows what being worldly means.
We as Christians can’t be like the world – a part of “what’s going on at the time.”
If you are going to be a Christian, you won’t be like most people.
Transformed = metamorphosis.
(note card activity)
Write down some of the things that cause people to go to Hell.
We came up with several (fornication, idolatry, drunkenness, bad language, fighting, homosexuality, etc).
Transformation is pretty quick.
Some people will continue to call themselves (and other) “Christian” even though they continue to do worldly things.
Have you told anyone about “the list?”
If you still those things that are on the list, how have you been transformed?
We finish with Galatians 5:16, being reminded to walk in the Spirit.
