Sermon

Scripture: 1 Thessalonians 4

-Are you confident in your life that you are pleasing the Lord?

-Stop trying to meet the minimum standard in Christ.

-Sexual harassment is a big problem, make sure you are not involved in situations like that.

-The world is promoting sexual attraction and “wants” you to appeal to sex and lust.

-Your relationship with fellow believers should not remain the same, you should be seeking to increase the depth of your relationships and grow closer.

-Be a living sacrifice for God requires you to “go out of your way” to show love to others.

-Make more friends in Christ. Develop those friendships more. Never seek to do less in Christ.

-Are you presenting your self as a living sacrifice or are you only seeking to do things that interest you?

Scripture: Romans 16

Scripture: Hebrews 6

-Modern day Christianity never wants to get tired for God. People willingly get tired for a paycheck but what about when it comes to God?

-If you never get tired from doing work for God…then maybe you aren’t really working.

-If you are constantly exerting all of your energy for the world then what are you offering to God?

-Don;t approach your work for God thinking about all of the things you don’t want to do. That is not the right attitude.

-Pay attention to what other people are doing, then ask yourself, “Am I pulling my load?”

-Regardless of what you tell or convince other people of God knows what you are and are not doing.

It’s ashamed how active and energetic some people are outside of church versus when they are in church.

-Your work ethic is symbolic of where you will end up.

-Don’t find a bad example as an excuse for you to be a good one.

-Your greatest enemy sometimes is YOU and your selfishness.
